About Rach’s Place

Rach’s Place was originally called ‘Confessions of a SAHM’ when it was started back in June 2011 as a place to share my experience of having had Placenta Previa and Accreta with our third child, postnatal depression and raising a child with special needs. We then added a fourth baby to the family and documented his pregnancy and birth.

However, the blogosphere became overcrowded with ‘mummy bloggers’ and I never felt like I fit in. The children were also getting older and decided they wanted their own creative outlets, rather than be featured on Mum’s – so the blog changed.

It became Rach’s Place.

It is now a Lifestyle, Fitness and Travel blog.

Here, I document my travels (I am a wannabe nomad!), my fitness journey and other bits and bobs that I think people will appreciate. Occasionally, my husband Paul and the four children (Jake, Kyla, Abigail, and Zachary) will be featured.

Who is Rach?

So, who am I? Well, I am Rachel (although mostly referred to as Rach) and I am the front face of this blog.

First and foremost, I am a wife and a mother of four children. My days are spent looking after the children, and when they are at school I can be found in the gym and working on my social media consultancy business.

I have a passion for fitness and traveling. My dream is to one day be able to work and travel the world with the family.

I am slowly getting into photography, and love taking pictures – although I am often found behind the camera, rather in front of it. I am very much an amateur, but all the pictures on the blog, unless otherwise stated, are taken by me. I am pretty fond of the travel pictures.
