Barny snacks and a #littleadventure

Having four children and life being just really hectic in general, I sometimes find days all flow in to one and before I know it, weeks or even months have flown by.

Sometimes we forget to take a break. Sometimes we forget to spend time together as a family.

I mean, of course we do things as a family. Days out, parks etc – but it’s all rushed and manic. We don’t take the time to actually take in the surroundings.

The children are growing so fast that I really feel that those important years are flying by and I know that before I know it they’ll be flying the nest.

I really want them to remember their childhood. To remember the fun times we had together. To remember the little things.

That’s why I’m trying to make sure we have little adventures as often as we can.

BritMums recently sent us some yummy Barny snacks to try out on a little adventure.

A little adventure really can be anything. You don’t even have to leave your back garden. We didn’t!

We sat in the garden one afternoon and decided to pull out some of the overgrown weeds, taking care to see which little creatures where living in there.

We found an ant’s nest, some wood louse, spiders and then we spotted this little fella

We sat watching him to see if he would move, but he was a little shy.

Jake and Abigail tried the Barny snacks. Unfortunately with Kyla being allergic to cocoa and Zachary being lactose intolerant they couldn’t try them. Obviously, this was great for Jake and Abigail as it meant more for them!

Thumbs up for Barny on our #littleadventure

Barny snacks are bear shaped sponges which come in two flavours, milk and chocolate. They are very tasty and handy for that little after school snack to fill a hole before dinner time.

Do you ever have little adventures with your children? What sorts or adventures do you have?

This post is an entry for BritMums ‘Little Adventures Challenge’ in partnership with Barny, the bear-shaped snack providing a little discovery in every bite. Find out more about Barny here

Thank you! I am starting to realise that the years are passing so quickly now, that it’s good to make memories 🙂
