Become a Foster Carer

Foster Carer in Surrey Needed!

My Aunt and Uncle are Foster Carers and I have seen the amazing work they do with the boys they have had and how much love they have for them.

Fostering is something that Paul and I have considered, as is Adoption, but currently we are too cramped in our home and do not have the extra bedroom required. It is something we really want to do though once the children are a little older and we have some more space. We really feel we have so much more love to give to more children, and as having more of our own is no longer an option, we know we can really help by fostering.

Surrey are calling out for Foster Carers. Around 20% of Foster Children in Surrey are being cared for out of area because there are not enough carers to take them in. Are you in Surrey? Can you help?

The  requirements for Foster Carers have relaxed over the years and now most people can foster. For example, you can foster if you’re aged 21-70, single, gay, don’t work, or have a flexible job.

If you have a spare room and want to help children, then fostering could be for you!

Surrey are having some Fostering Open Evenings which people are welcome to attend if you are interested in becoming a Foster Carer and would like to find out more.

So please, if you have a spare room, have considered Fostering a child (or children) – then pop along to their Open Evening and maybe you can help give a child a loving home.

*Disclaimer – I have not received any endorsement of payment for this post. I am a Surrey Resident and it truly is something we have considered and would like to do in the future. There are so many children out there who cannot go home for one reason or another and desperately need a loving home provided for them!

I’ve always wanted to foster but have never had a spare room, I admire those that do foster.
