To celebrate the release of the new Shaun the Sheep DVD, Spring Cleaning, we were invited to a special event at Mudchute Farm on the Isle of Dogs in the East End of London.
We arrived a little late, as we decided to drive in and hit terrible traffic on the M25 and then we wasn’t quite sure if we were in the right place as we turned down a normal looking street. To our surprise, at the end was Mudchute Farm.
We parked up and walked through to this amazing city farm with fields full of animals, barns with horses and plenty of room for the kids to play and run around – all with a view of Canary Wharf! It is a tucked away little gem.
We had a tour of the farm, and were even allowed in to the field with the ewe’s and feed them! They were all fluffy as they still had their coats on. Zachary took a real shine to them and just wanted to touch them.
We then headed back to the barn where we watched Shaun the Sheep Spring Cleaning, had some yummy Shaun the Sheep Cakes and learnt how to make a Shaun the Sheep with a “Claymation” expert from Aardman.
He was really good with the kids and ever so patient as he took us through step by step how to create our Shaun’s.
We had a wonderful day out at Mudchute Farm and now we know where it is, we will be sure to return and spend more time there!
