Completing the Puzzle by Amanda Egan

Completing the Puzzle by Amanda Egan – Book Club Read

Those who follow my Twitter feed will know how much of a fan I am of Amanda Egan aka Mummy Misfit.

Amanda is an Indie writer and self publisher of her books and ebooks. I absolutely LOVED her first 2 books, Diary of a Mummy Misfit and The Darker Side of Mummy Misfit. I have also had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Amanda in person!

I was thrilled to hear the news of her impending 3rd book, although this was to be different and not a Mummy Misfit book. I couldn’t wait and anxiously followed her Twitter feed and Blog for any news on the book and its release.

It was released by Amazon on Kindle e-Book on the 6th June 2012 and I downloaded it that very day. Now, being a SAHM, I don’t have as much time to read as I used to, so it has taken me 6 days to read a book that would normally take me a day to go through, but when I did start reading it was so hard to put down.

Just like the Mummy Misfit books, Completing the puzzle had me hooked from the first few pages. Amanda is an amazing author who manages to pull you in to the story. Her characters are so loveable and friendly that you can just relate to them. You laugh with them, you smile with them and you cry with them. You definitely fall in love with all of the characters.

“Middle aged and middle-of-the-road, Fee Crawford has been drifting through life in a passionless marriage and hurtling towards the menopause.
With her twin boys grown up and needing her less, why does she still feel incomplete?
Coping with her elderly dad, increasingly distant husband and flighty best friend, Cordelia, her life seems to be spiralling out of control.
Will a chance meeting with a handsome vet be the missing link to make everything fall into place?
From the author of the ‘Mummy Misfit’ books comes ‘COMPLETING THE PUZZLE’ – A tale of families, love and mid-life crisis.”

If you love chic-lit then I really cannot recommend this book enough (and the Mummy Misfit books).

Amanda is currently writing her 4th book….and I really cannot wait to read it!!!
