Since then, I have taken the steps to join Save the Children as a Digital Activist and become one of their #66cities champions to show support around ending the crisis in East Africa.
So what’s my role as a Digital Activist? Simple, it is my role to spread Save the Children’s campaign messages through my blog and Social Networking.
As I am also a #66cities champion, it is my role to campaign my local area on behalf of Save the Children. This entails writing letters to my local MP, Blog about it, Tweet about it, Facebook it, even go to the local press about it. To get their campaign message out there and to get YOU to help!
How can you help? That’s easy too! Please, just spare a few moments to complete a Charter to End Extreme Hunger petition. The petition can be found here
Over 4,000 people have signed the petition but we still need more! We need YOU to sign the petition.
The price hike in food this year has put hundreds of thousands of children’s lives at risk, especially in places like East Africa.
No child in this day and age, no matter where they live in the world, be it in the Western World or in the the most remote places should die of hunger! There is just no need for it!
“The Charter sets out specific actions that governments should take to stop widespread starvation as a result of something as drought, high food prices and conflict. We want all governments to sign up to it.”
So will you please, just spare a few moment of your time, to sign the petition.
No Child Deserves to Die.
