Shine Bright

Every so often I have my battles of whether to continue blogging or not, then something happens to make me proud to be part of the blogging community.

Yesterday was a day full of mixed emotions. On a good, positive side #TeamHonk set off on their trip to Ghana to see the amazing work Comic Relief have done for the past 25years.

And then, we all read some news that shocked us all. Not just because we’re parent bloggers, but because it was so unexpected. A gorgeous little 9 month old baby girl called Matilda Mae gained her angel wings on Saturday night.

I had the lovely pleasure of meeting the gorgeous Matilda Mae and her lovely mummy Jennie (who blogs over at Edspire) just before Christmas.

There are no words for a parent who has lost their child, especially in unforeseen circumstances and very suddenly. It is a parents worst nightmare to ever lose a child.

There is nothing I can say or do to take away the pain Jennie and her family are feeling right now. I wish there was something I could do. I just wanted to let her know that I am thinking of them all at this terribly tragic time.

It truly is. I cannot even begin to imagine. Like others, I just want Jennie to know I’m thinking of her and her family xx
