Week 29

We have just 10 weeks left! Oh.My.Gosh! It feels like no time at all and I am starting to feel unprepared! I really need to think about purchasing the essentials (nappies etc) and sorting space out for babies clothes, as well as cleaning the Moses Basket and car seat.

I’ve been feeling really uncomfortable lately. On Saturday my belly dropped really low and I had a lot of pain in my pelvis and a fair few Braxton Hicks. I took a picture and you could clearly see how baby had dropped. However, he has decided he doesn’t like being head down and has flipped back breech again. I know this because my belly is no longer low and I am feeling an awful lot of movement in the lower area of my tummy/pelvis and out towards my back/bum.

I like to try and keep these updates fairly consistent, so as usual I stepped on the scales this morning. I wish I hadn’t! I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw that I had gained 3lbs!!! How on earth did I manage to gain 3lbs in a week. I know that’s only an overall total pregnancy gain of just 5lbs so far, it feels like 3lbs is an awful lot to gain in one week. Oh well, not much I can do about it. Will have to be a bit more careful this week and try to eat more fruit. Hopefully with the weather being as nice as it is that’ll be easy to do.

According to my pregnancy app this week, baby is weighing approximately 1.2kgs. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature and his head is growing to accommodate his brain. His bones are also hardening.
