Yesterday saw us turn 36 weeks. I know, I am a bit late posting this. I have just been so tired lately and had a few projects in the pipeline that I just didn’t find the time to write this (bad of me I know!).
So, 36 weeks in, 3 more to go! I am feeling more heavy and uncomfortable every day. I am suffering from insomnia and heartburn. I am struggling to get comfortable in bed at night despite having a very nice memory foam mattress. I just seem to get stuck and it takes me a good 10 minutes to turn over. I can also set my watch by my 4am wee call!
I am really hoping the next few weeks fly by. As much as I love being pregnant and having babies, I feel I am ready now. I’m ready for him to be here and for us to start our life as a family of 6!!
This week has been fairly hectic for us (I’ll be posting up what I’ve been up to soon, so watch out for it!). We have also purchased our pram…FINALLY! We have gone for the Baby Jogger City Select. It converts from a double to a single, and although not the original pram I wanted, it is very similar and cost us a LOT less money!! I have also managed to pack my hospital bag…kind of.
Baby has started to slow down in his movements. He does scare me sometimes when he doesn’t move for long periods of time, then he does a big wriggle or pushes on my pelvis to let me know he is there. I’ve also lost another pound this week bringing my total pregnancy weight gain down to just 2lbs. I’m hoping it’s just down to running around lots and being busy. I have Midwife this week so I will mention it to her.
According to the app on my phone, baby is gaining around 28g a day, and currently weighs nearly 2.7kg and around 47cm long. The end of this week see’s me reach “Full Term” where he is safe to arrive any time he likes. Although, I don’t like the thought of going in to labour or my waters breaking beforehand due to the scheduled c-section and the fact that I am a carrier of Group B Strep. I hope he stays cooking for a little longer, despite the fact I wish him out all the time!!
