Welcome to the Rach’s Place Porch Stand!
The Porch Stand is our local, self-serve shopping option for an ever-changing selection of fresh, seasonal, homemade, homegrown, and small-batch goods from around Rach’s Place.
Depending on the season and what is currently available, you may find items such as eggs, garden produce, fresh or dried herbs, plants and starts, baked goods, pantry products, seasonal creations, and other locally available offerings.
Because Rach’s Place is a small, family-run home business, the Porch Stand operates a little differently from a traditional retail store.
These policies are intended to help keep the stand simple, flexible, and enjoyable for everyone.
Hours & Availability
Current Porch Stand hours and opening days will be posted on the Rach’s Place website, social media, or other current business announcements.
Hours Are Subject to Change
Because Rach’s Place is operated from our family home, posted hours may occasionally change due to:
Family schedules or commitments
Vacations
Illness or emergencies
Weather
Seasonal conditions
Product availability
Harvest or production schedules
Other unexpected circumstances
Whenever reasonably possible, schedule changes or closures will be announced online.
Customers making a special trip are encouraged to check the most recent Rach’s Place update before visiting.
An announced schedule is our intended schedule, but it is not a guarantee that the stand will be open every posted hour under every circumstance.
Product Availability
Porch Stand inventory changes frequently.
Many products depend on:
Growing and harvest seasons
Garden production
Egg production
Baking and kitchen schedules
Small-batch production
Weather
Available ingredients or materials
Seasonal demand
Some products may appear regularly while others may only be available occasionally or for a short season.
First Come, First Served
Unless specifically announced otherwise, Porch Stand products are available on a:
First-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
Posting or advertising that a product is available does not guarantee that it will still be in stock when you arrive.
Popular or limited products may sell out quickly.
Holds, Reservations & Online Ordering
Unless a specific announcement or arrangement states otherwise, Porch Stand inventory is not available for advance holds, reservations, or online ordering.
The purpose of the Porch Stand is to provide a simple way for local customers to stop by and shop what is currently available.
Some Rach’s Place products may be available through the online store or by special order, but Porch Stand inventory should not be assumed to be available through those channels.
Likewise, products listed online are not automatically available for purchase from the Porch Stand.
Porch-Stand-Only Products
Certain products may be offered exclusively through the Porch Stand.
This may include products that are:
Highly seasonal
Very limited in quantity
Freshly harvested
Perishable
Produced irregularly
Impractical to ship
Better suited to local, in-person sales
The fact that a product appears at the Porch Stand does not mean that it will be listed online or available for advance order.

The Porch Stand is generally self-serve unless otherwise announced.

Take only the items you have paid for.
Leave products, containers, signs, displays, and other stand property as you found them.

Payment
Cash and Venmo are preferred for Porch Stand purchases unless otherwise posted.

Available payment methods may occasionally change, so the instructions posted at the time of your visit should be followed.
Customers are responsible for submitting the correct payment amount for the items selected.
Pricing
Current prices will be posted on individual products, signs, labels, or other displays at the stand.
Prices may change as:
Ingredient or material costs change
Seasonal availability changes
Product size or quantity changes
Market conditions change
New products or varieties are introduced
Unless otherwise stated, the posted price at the time of purchase applies.
Food Products
The Porch Stand may offer foods and beverages that qualify for direct-to-consumer sale under applicable Idaho law.
Where required, appropriate consumer information will be provided through product labels, signage, cards, or other permitted methods.
This may include:
Producer name and contact information
Ingredient information for multi-ingredient products
Allergen information
Applicable consumer disclosures
Qualifying direct-to-consumer food products may carry or be accompanied by the following required notice:
“This product is not subject to government food safety inspection or licensing requirements. It may contain allergens.”
Please review all labels, signs, ingredient information, and product instructions before purchasing or consuming food products.
Food Allergies & Dietary Concerns
Food products sold through the Porch Stand may be prepared or handled in environments where common food allergens are present.
These may include:

Eggs
Wheat
Soy
Peanuts
Tree nuts
Sesame
Other allergens
Shared preparation areas, utensils, equipment, storage spaces, ingredients, or packaging may be used.
Rach’s Place cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment or guarantee that cross-contact has not occurred.
Customers with food allergies, intolerances, sensitivities, or dietary concerns should review available ingredient and allergen information carefully before purchasing.
Please contact Rach’s Place with questions before consuming a product when additional information is needed.
Eggs
Egg availability varies according to natural flock production and seasonal conditions.
Eggs may sell out quickly and are not guaranteed to be available every day the Porch Stand is open.
Customers should follow any storage or handling instructions provided with the eggs and refrigerate them as appropriate after purchase.
Once eggs leave the stand, customers are responsible for proper transportation, refrigeration, storage, handling, and preparation.
Produce, Herbs & Homegrown Products
Fresh produce, herbs, flowers, and other homegrown products naturally vary.
Reasonable differences in:
Size
Shape
Color
Appearance
Ripeness
Texture
Natural markings are normal characteristics of homegrown products and are not considered defects.
Please inspect fresh products before purchasing and use, refrigerate, preserve, or store them appropriately after taking them home.
Because most Porch Stand produce is seasonal, an item available one week may not be available the next.
Plants, Starts & Living Products
Plants, seedlings, starts, and other living products are subject to natural variation.
Please inspect plants before purchasing.
Once a living product leaves Rach’s Place, its continued health depends on factors outside our control, including:
Watering
Sunlight
Soil
Transplanting
Temperature
Weather
Pests
Handling
Individual growing conditions
Rach’s Place cannot guarantee the survival or continued growth of plants after purchase.
Baked Goods & Other Perishable Products
Baked goods and other fresh or perishable products should be stored and handled according to any instructions provided.
Some products may require:
Refrigeration
Freezing
Protection from excessive heat
Consumption within a recommended timeframe
Once a product leaves the Porch Stand, the customer is responsible for appropriate transportation, storage, handling, and use.
Rach’s Place is not responsible for deterioration caused by improper storage, excessive heat, freezing, extended exposure, contamination after purchase, or other conditions occurring after the product leaves our control.
Returns & Refunds
Because many Porch Stand products are food, perishable, homegrown, seasonal, or living goods, Porch Stand purchases are generally final sale.
Food and perishable products cannot generally be returned once they have left Rach’s Place’s control because they cannot safely be placed back into inventory for resale.
This includes, as applicable:
Eggs
Produce
Herbs
Baked goods
Other food products
Fresh or perishable products
Plants and living goods
Problems With a Purchase
Final sale does not mean we will ignore a legitimate problem.
If you believe you received:
An incorrect product
A spoiled or defective product
A product with an undisclosed problem present at the time of sale
Another item that was clearly not as represented
Please contact Rach’s Place as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the issue.
Photos and details may be requested when they will help us understand what happened.
Concerns will be reviewed individually, and an appropriate resolution may be offered depending on the circumstances.
Normal variations in handmade, homegrown, seasonal, or natural products are not considered defects.
Weather & Seasonal Conditions
The Porch Stand is affected by Idaho weather and seasonal conditions.
Hours, product availability, and stand operation may change because of:
Extreme heat
Cold or freezing temperatures
Wind
Rain
Snow
Smoke or poor air quality
Severe weather
Conditions that could damage products or make operation impractical
Certain products may be removed from the stand, offered only during limited hours, or temporarily unavailable when weather conditions make safe or reasonable display difficult.
Family Home & Property
The Porch Stand is located at our family home.
We are happy to welcome customers to shop the stand, but please respect that the surrounding property remains our private family residence.
Unless otherwise arranged:
Please visit only during posted Porch Stand hours.
Please remain within the customer-accessible Porch Stand area.
Please do not enter private areas of the property.
Please supervise children while visiting.
Please respect our home, animals, gardens, landscaping, equipment, and personal property.
Scheduled order pickups, consultations, or appointments should follow the instructions provided for those specific arrangements.
Children & Pets
Children are welcome when appropriately supervised by an accompanying adult.
Because this is an active home and homestead property, customers are responsible for keeping children within appropriate customer areas and away from private, work, animal, garden, or potentially hazardous areas.
For the safety of our animals, property, products, and other visitors, please keep pets appropriately restrained and away from food displays and other areas where animals should not be present.
Product Limits
Rach’s Place may occasionally limit the quantity of a particularly scarce or high-demand Porch Stand product that one customer may purchase.
Any limits will be posted or announced when applicable.
These limits help make limited seasonal products available to more local families.
Resale
Porch Stand products are sold primarily for personal or household use.
Purchasing from the Porch Stand does not authorize customers to:
Resell Rach’s Place-branded products as their own
Remove or alter required product labels
Repackage products under another business name
Represent themselves as an authorized Rach’s Place retailer
Anyone interested in wholesale, resale, or commercial purchasing should contact Rach’s Place separately.
