No two homeschool days ever look exactly alike, but most of them begin here—with plans, books, notes, lists, ideas, and usually more than one thing being adjusted along the way. The Teacher’s Desk is where I sort through what we need to learn, decide how it might work best for my boys, and try to bring all the pieces together in a way that fits our family and the season of life we are in.
Over the years, I have learned that a good homeschool plan needs both structure and plenty of room to change. We homeschool year-round, teach two different ages, and work learning around family life, home projects, outside activities, and all the unexpected things that seem to find their way into a week. Sometimes a carefully planned lesson works beautifully, and sometimes the best learning happens when we set the plan aside and follow a new direction.
